I don't know how it is where you live/drive, but near me (Midwest USA), all LEOs have instant-on radar and laser guns. Even their vehicles have front/rear mounted radar guns.

They probably have side-mounted too. Instant-on, always aiming where they want. I got busted up in Wisconsin in Nov. State trooper got me with instant-on radar. My detector did nothing but alert me that I had been clocked, and to look in my rear view to see the cherries light up.

It'll detect radar apparently, but its laser detection is non-existent (not that it would matter much, anyways.) Anyways, I don't see any point in having this thing anymore. Why is there still a market for radar detectors? There are cheaper ways to know you've been busted. Like looking up into your rear view mirror.
